ILLUSIONS by Ivan Viripaev. A workshop in December, 2013.
ANNIE PURCELL IN ILLUSIONS
Actor, director, and musician Cazimir Liske will develop a new production of Illusions by Ivan Viripaev, one of Russia’s leading contemporary playwrights. In this darkly comic work of theater, set in an ambiguous place resembling America, four actors take turns telling a story of two married couples. U.S.-born Liske, who has worked in Moscow theaters for nearly a decade, translated the text and will make his American directorial debut with the production’s premiere.
A hospital project.
